The Transplants Find Friends on 'Haunted Cities'

Published: 2005-05-04
Comprised of one of the busiest drummers this side of Dave Grohl, and a modern day punk rock icon, we all knew it was only a matter of time before "supergroup" The Transplants put out another album. The follow-up to the trio's 2002 self-titled debut is called Haunted Cities, and is set to drop on June 21st.

Making rap-rock that isn't nearly as embarrassing as most of the music with the same title, The Transplants' newest effort isn't lacking on the guest spots. Making their mark on Haunted Cities are Cypress Hills' B-Real and Sen Dog, Dilated People's Rakaa, as well as California gangsta rap group Boo-Yaa TRIBE.

Instead of launching a headlining tour in support of the album, The Transplants will draw the crowds to this year's Vans Warped Tour. Sitting on the top of the bill for the summer festival, the "side-project" of blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, Rancid's Tim Armstrong, and Rob "SR" Ashton, will cross the continent from June 18th until August 15th, making a few stops in Canada along the way.
