Queen Elizabeth in Edmonton for Victoria Day Concert

On May 23rd, Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Phillip will be treated to a concert at Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium. Canadian film and television actor Paul Gross, Corner Gas actor Lorne Cardinal and CBC broadcaster Colin MacLean will host the event.

Artists performing at the show include legendary country crooner Ian Tyson, alternative country singer Corb Lund, The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, pianist Tommy Banks and Oscar Lopez. The evening will also feature 1,500 singers and dancers. The event is in correlation to the Alberta's 100th Anniversary as a province.

Tickets are free to the event but service charges may apply. A crowd of around 50,000 is expected. The Queen and Prince will be in Calgary on May 25th for more celebrations.
