Annie's Debut Finally Gets North American Release

Published: 2005-05-03
Norwegian electro-pop darling Annie, who the press have been going on about for months, will finally get a domestic North American release for her debut album. Released in 2004 in Europe, Anniemal has come with high praise from many of the globe's critics, despite the album not being the usual type to please the jaded person's palette.

Picked up by Vice Records, also home to Death From Above 1979 and Bloc Party, the 12-track record will be available for a price much more reasonable than the usual import costs to Canadians and Americans when June 7th rolls around. The British were recently granted the same privilege; Anniemal was released in March 2005 over there.

The songs of Anniemal run in this order:

"Chewing Gum"
"Always Too Late"
"Me Plus One"
"My Heartbreak"
"Helpless Fool For Love"
"No Easy Love"
"Happy Without You"
"Greatest Hit"
"Come Together"
"My Best Friend"

The burn-filled "Chewing Gum", the first single from Anniemal, is the song that started it all for the songstress. It's possible to stream the entire length of Annie's Anniemal through Vice Records. More specifically, head on over here:
