Radiohead, Bjork Support War Child Music

Published: 2005-04-29
Growing ever popular, buying digital music now comes with a humanitarian purpose as War Child have set up their own mp3 purchasing site. Not only do proceeds go to fund humanitarian projects in war-torn countries around the world, but some of the world's most acclaimed artists are donating their works exclusively to War Child Music.

One of this month's exclusive features comes courtesy of Icelandic singer Bjork, who has provided two remixes to War Child Music. It's also possible to buy Coldplay's stellar new single "Speed of Sound" from the site, for the standard price of 99p (that'd be pence, it's British!), plus the welcome addition of karma points.

One of the most notable advantages of buying mp3s from War Child Music is that it's the only place to get Radiohead in digital form. The critically acclaimed British act has released their entire back catalogue to the company, all in benefit of War Child. All of the band's albums, singles, and live performances are available through www.warchildmusic.com, and that adds up to a helluva lot of tracks for a good cause.
