Allman Brothers Band Tour The Continent

Published: 2005-04-28
Legendary Southern rock band, The Allman Brothers Band, are set to see how far their legacy can take them this summer as they make their way around North America on a very extensive tour of the continent. Heading straight through the summer months, The Allman Brothers Band will kick off the run May 6th in Los Angeles, and won't slow down until they hit Vermont on August 28th.

There is just one Canadian stop on the blues-rockers' North American run, which will take them to Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre on August 16th. Other notable appearances for The Allman Brothers Band include a headlining stop at Bonnaroo 2005, a Tennessee music festival that will also play host to the likes of Modest Mouse, Jurassic 5, Joss Stone, and Kings of Leon.

Releasing their self-titled debut in 1969, tragedy struck The ABB when guitarist Duane Allman was killed in a motorcycle accident in 1971. The tragic event happened just days after the release of the band's landmark album, At Fillmore East; still a must-own album for any music lover. The latest release from the band is Live At The Atlanta International Pop Festival, available officially for the first time since it was recorded in 1970.
