If there's one band that knows the power of one catchy single, it's Washington's Modest Mouse. From underground heroes to household name, Modest Mouse "made it", and some money too. Jumping on the North American festival circuit, and playing a few club dates in between (in bigger and better venues!), the indie rockers will spend the sunny months bringing their music to the masses.
Lined up to play Bonnaroo in Tennessee and the Sasquatch Festival in Washington, Modest Mouse will start things off inside when they play Vancouver, not once, but two whole times. On May 25th and 26th, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre will house Issac Brock and Co. as they continue to support their newest release, Good News For People Who Love Bad News, and perhaps more importantly, "Float On".
Sort of a two for one deal, indie stalwarts Camper Van Beethoven will be sharing the stage with Modest Mouse. Overdue for a little good luck, hopefully this time with a watchful eye and a super-reinforced van, the band's gear will NOT be stolen (again). Vancouver isn't the only city Camper Van has love for, so they'll also take some time out to play at the Winnipeg Folk Festival on July 8th and 9th.
