Ex-Pumpkin Jimmy Chamberlin Brings His Complex to Toronto

Published: 2005-04-27
From the mind of ex-Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan drummer, Jimmy Chamberlin, comes a brand new band, aptly named Jimmy Chamberlin Complex. While his other bands may have carried more notoriety due to a certain bald-headed man, at least this one is still up and running. So much so in fact, that the quartet is actively touring the continent as we speak (er, read)!

Touring in support of their debut album, Life Begins Again, Jimmy Chamberlin Complex kicked off their cross-continent jaunt in Minneapolis last Monday (April 25th). Taking in 20 North American cities in just four weeks, the run will wrap up in Albuquerque on May 20th. There is just one Canadian stop scheduled, which happens to be occurring this Saturday, April 30th in Toronto.

Released in January 2005, Life Begins Again is essentially the outcome of collaborations between Chamberlin and his friend, bandmate, and multi-instrumentalist Billy Mohler. The 11-track album was received warmly, and has been bringing even more praise to Chamberlin's drumming skills, showcased in Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan for the past decade.

Listen to seven songs from Jimmy Chamberlin Complex at the band's official website www.jimmychamberlincomplex.com. Tickets for the band's Toronto stop are available through Ticketmaster.ca, at $15 a go.

The only Canadian date on Jimmy Chamberlin Complex's tour:

April 30, Toronto, ON - Horseshoe Tavern
