Red Hot Chili Peppers and Weezer Play Las Vegas Birthday Bash

This year Las Vegas turns 100, and the city is hosting a free birthday bash headlined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Weezer. The free concert will be held on Saturday, July 2nd just off the Las Vegas strip.

According to Weezer's official site,, the 50,000 free tickets became available April 18th, and are accessible exclusively through the Las Vegas Centennial site,

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are in the studio recording what will be the follow up to 2002's By the Way. The Peppers released a hits album in 2003. Weezer recently released a new single and video of their song "Beverly Hills." Their new album, Make Believe, is to be released May 10, a couple of weeks into a tour that kicks off in Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on April 26th.
