Paul McCartney Back On the Road This Fall

Published: 2005-04-19
The Beatles are undeniably one of the greatest bands ever to have walked the earth, and ex-Beatle Paul McCartney will attempt to carry on the band's legacy as he embarks on a solo tour this summer. Macca will head out in support of his upcoming as yet untitled, Nigel Godrich-produced albumónot that he really needs a reason to tour.

Beginning September 16th in Miami, Florida, the singer will hit the North American roads (or more likely, flight paths) for the better part of three months. There are currently 28 shows scheduled in the fall run, with just one Canadian date planned. McCartney plays Toronto on October 10th, before heading down to Detroit for his next show.

Tickets for the tour, which ends in Los Angeles on November 19th, go on sale Thursday, April 22nd; check for the Toronto sale start. When McCartney last did the North American circuit in 2002, he grossed $126 million dollars for 56 shows, with ticket prices at the higher end of the scale (is there any price a Beatle can't demand?).

Paul McCartney's sole Canadian stop:

October 10, Toronto, ON - Air Canada Centre
