Kasabian Squeeze Canada In This Summer

Published: 2005-04-18
Having won over legions of new fans on the strength of their first single "Club Foot," which is receiving surprisingly good airplay, British four-piece Kasabian is coming back to North America for another go at the continent. Hopping across the Atlantic in between hectic UK tours, Kasabian will begin their eight-date American tour on May 13th in Philadelphia.

There are just two Canadian stops pencilled in on the jaunt, with the indie rockers visiting both sides of the country (Toronto and Vancouver). As a testament to their growing popularity in North America, the Toronto show has been upsized, and moved from the Phoenix to the Kool Haus. Tickets for the Vancouver 19+ show are running for $17.50 before extra charges, while the Toronto gig will cost $20.

Receiving their fair share of good reviews for their self-titled debut (including one from Soul Shine; check the "Reviews" page), Kasabian are scaling the musical wall around North America and achieving success on both sides of the Atlantic. Practically a household name in the UK, Kasabian have landed themselves a coveted spot on the Other Stage at Glastonbury Festival 2005, with 112,000 tickets for the event already gone in the blink of an eye.

Kasabian's upcoming Canadian gigs:

May 20, Toronto, ON - Kool Haus
June 6, Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom

I think Kasabians type of music that they have come up with is differnet and a much needed change. If they ever get chance to come towards Dallas, that'd be great. take it easy.
