Kraftwerk Prepare First Live Album

Published: 2005-04-15
Legendary Kraut-rock band Kraftwerk are finally starting to put their live legacy to tape with the first official live album of their 35-year career this summer. Due out June 7th through Astralwerks, the two-disc set, dubbed Minimum-Maximum, will come packed full with 22 tracks.

The material the band is including on Minimum-Maximum comes from their extensive 2004 world tour, which saw the electronic-rock band take their act to Europe, Japan, and North America. A track list is not yet available for the record, but Astralwerks has promised "all of the band's classic compositions" as well as a DVD portion.

Besides the release of Minimum-Maximum, 2005 holds yet another tour for Kraftwerk. Before they hit all the major festivals, the band will play six dates in the United States, but unfortunately won't make the trip north to Canada. A few of the dates are relatively close to the border, however; go to for a full schedule.
