Blue Man Group Settle Down in Toronto

Published: 2005-04-13
There aren't many people who can't identify the Blue Man Group, and now Torontonians will have the chance to see the bald, blue heads everywhere they go. The multi-media performers, which are virtual a full-time business now, are setting up shop in Toronto, making the brand new Panasonic Theatre their permanent home.

Performances by the music/performance/comedy collective will begin on June 19th, with tickets for the event going on sale next Monday (April 18th) through, at 59 bucks a pop. Not only that, but there will be an 11-day preview before opening night, which runs from June 7-18; go to the web site for more information and a weekly show schedule.

Speaking of Blue Man Group's new home, co-founder Matt Goldman expressed his glowing approval: "Toronto has always been on the short list of cities Blue Man would want to call home. Now we've found the perfect combination of partner with Clear Channel Entertainment and venue with the Panasonic Theatre. We look forward to performing for Toronto's sophisticated, diverse, and enthusiastic audiences."

They're shiny and blue, make loud noises, and think Toronto's a rather spiffy place - really, what's not to like?
