Dave Matthews Band Reveal Track-List of New LP

Published: 2005-04-08
On top of the adult rock heap for many a year now, and looking to continue their reign, Dave Matthews Band has completed their newest album, and it's all packaged and ready for delivery on May 10th. Titled "Stand Up", the album features 14 new tracks from the five-piece, including first single "American Baby" which can already be heard on radio across the continent.

"Stand Up" will be Dave Matthews Band first studio album since their 2002 release "Busted Stuff", which featured the hit song "Where Are You Going". In between then and now, DMB released a few more live albums adding onto their already massive live output. Frontman, Dave Matthews, also put out a solo album called "Some Devil" in 2003.

To support "Stand Up", their sixth studio album, DMB are gearing up to head out on a summer tour, taking support acts like Howie Day, Ray LaMontagne, Drive-by Truckers, and Marc Broussard along for the ride. Unfortunately, there are no Canadian dates pencilled into Dave Matthews Band's future at the moment.

The track-listing of "Stand Up" is:

"Old Dirt Hill (Bring That Beat Back)"
"Stand Up (For It)"
"American Baby Intro"
"American Baby"
"Smooth Rider"
"Everybody Wake Up (Our Finest Hour Arrives)"
"Out of My Hands"
"Hello Again"
"Louisiana Bayou"
"Stolen Away on 55th and 3rd"
"You Might Die Trying"
"Steady As We Go"
"Hunger for the Great Light"

Just when you think "how could this band have another great single" they do and it is just as good as the rest if possible one the best. From the first time I heard "American Baby," I absolutely loved it, and I can't wait to here the rest of there new LP. Way to keep me on my toes. My fav as always and forever "DMB."

American Baby is by no means their best single. However it is definately better than Space Between or Where are you going (their past two singles). Its really too bad Hello Again was the only new song that made it from their summer tour last year. Joy Ride was by far the best of the new. Rumor has it that Stand Up is going to sound more like Before these Crowded Streets or Under the Table. If nothing else, Stand Up definately has the best cover art so far, only rivaled perhaps by Before These Crowded Streets
