Brendan Benson Hits Toronto, Vancouver

Published: 2005-04-07
Singer, songwriter, musician, and friend to Jack White, Detroit artist Brendan Benson will pick up his feet and make his way northward not once, but twice this spring. He'll first call Toronto home for the night of April 11th as he plays Lee's Palace alongside The Stands. Following that, Benson will disappear to the UK for a month on a headlining tour, but do not fear, he will return.

When English pop-rock trio Keane make the jump over the Atlantic for their headlining tour in support of "Hopes and Fears", Benson will make the jump with them. Keane and Benson will visit just one Canadian city, and that would be the west coast town of Vancouver on May 11th.

Benson is traipsing around the globe in support of his newest album, "The Alternative To Love". The album was released almost simultaneously in Britain and North America (here on March 22nd), which accounts for the rocker being so busy. "Alternative To Love" is Benson's third studio album, and is getting almost as much love as his largely praised 2002 record "Lapalco".

Brendan Benson's upcoming Canadian gigs:

April 11 Toronto, ON - Lee's Palace (w/ The Stands)
May 11 Vancouver, BC - Queen Elizabeth Theatre (w/ Keane)
