Stereophonics Bring 'Language' Back to Canada

Published: 2005-04-06
Making quite a few critics take a second look with their recently released fifth studio album, the Stereophonics may not be the write-offs some people have them pegged as being. Released on March 22nd in North America, "Language. Sex. Violence. Other?" is the follow-up to the trio's largely panned 2003 effort "You Gotta Go There To Come Back", and is getting its share of good reviews.

Apparently, the title of their previous album holds true, as Stereophonics will be making their way back to North America this summer to have another round at the continent. Mainstream success in North America may have eluded the trio over here despite their very accessible music, which has always proved popular back on the band's home turf.

Stereophonics are set to kick off their North American jaunt in the lovely town of Vancouver on April 24th, and bounce back and forth until they land in Seattle on June 4th. There are two other Canadian stops besides the Vancouver kick-off, with Stereophonics playing both Toronto and the nation's capital which we like to call Ottawa.

Stereophonics Canadian tour dates:

April 24 Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom
May 11 Toronto, ON - Phoenix Concert Theatre
May 12 Ottawa, ON - Zaphod Beeblebrox
