Great Lake Swimmers Release Second LP, Tour Ontario

This past weekend, Toronto act, Great Lake Swimmers, released their sophomore album, which they gave the title "Bodies and Minds". Led by singer/songwriter Tony Dekker, Great Lake Swimmers will embark on a mini tour of Ontario which began on April 2nd in Toronto, with the release of "Bodies and Minds". There are four more dates on the jaunt, all in celebration of the band's new effort.

Featuring 11 new tracks from the pop rock band, "Bodies and Minds" saw engineer Andy Magoffin (Constantines, Royal City) get by the boards to helm the project. The record was given nationwide release on March 15th through weewerk Records, and was put on European shelves yesterday (April 4th). However, "Bodies and Minds" won't have its turn at turning on the States until August 16th.

Great Lake Swimmers' self-titled debut found life in March 2003, and helped the band gain a footing in the critical world, gaining rave reviews from a few major publications.
