Kaiser Chiefs Charge Back To North America

Published: 2005-04-05
Doing much better than they thought they would in North America, Britain's Kaiser Chiefs' debut album "Employment" has already moved about 75,000 copies in the United States. One of the few British bands to have a good start in America from the get go, Kaiser Chiefs are taking full advantage of the situation and returning to our fair continent once again.

According to NME, the four-piece is due back on this side of the Atlantic in late May, kicking off the 16-date jaunt on the 24th in Philadelphia. Before lead singer Ricky Wilson and Co. wrap things up in San Francisco on July 24th, Kaiser Chiefs will have hit all of Canada's major centres: Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. Currently the quartet is on a very extensive tour of Britain, and will hit what seems like every single European festival this summer.

"Everyday I Love You Less and Less" is the next UK-released single from "Employment", hitting shelves in Britain on May 16th, and making the import list over here. Still touting a song about angry British mobs over here, "I Predict A Riot" has been received very well by American audiences.

Check out "I Predict A Riot", and the equally catchy "Oh My God", at the band's site at www.kaiserchiefs.co.uk.

Kaiser Chiefs' upcoming Canadian stops:

May 27 Montreal, QC - Club Soda
May 29 Toronto, ON - Mod Club
June 5 Vancouver, BC - Richard's On Richards
