Cream Biography Available This April

This April, fans of the ever beloved '60s band Cream will be able to pick up a new book on the psychedelic heroes. "Cream: The World's First Supergroup" is being published through Virgin Books, and is set to hit shelves as original members guitarist Eric Clapton, drummer Ginger Baker, and bassist Jack Bruce reunite for a series of concerts in England this May.

"Cream: The World's First Supergroup" will be issued in hardback, and will be stuffed with 282 pages, which will likely make it very good for hitting people with, if someone was so inclined. The biography is written by Dave Thompson, who also wrote bios of Kurt Cobain, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Cure. The Cream book will take a look at the band's short lived but fruitful career, and of course all the legendary drugs, sex, and rock 'n' roll of the late '60s.

It's been nearly four decades since Cream originally disbanded and yet they are still hugely influential. The trio put out just three studio albums in their time together: "Fresh Cream" in 1966, the classic "Disraeli Gears" the next year, and "Wheels of Fire" in 1968. Even if someone doesn't think they know any Cream songs, odds are they do, because the classic "Sunshine of Your Love" contains one of the most memorable riffs this side of "Stairway To Heaven".
