Regina Spektor Spreads 'Soviet Kitsch'

Published: 2005-03-23
Standing in the midst of the faux-folk movement that was oh-so-big last year, Regina Spektor will make good on her new found notoriety and do the touring that comes along with it. The Russian born singer has grand plans that will take her all the way from Philadelphia, USA to London, England in the span of just a few weeks.

As she tours around the globe, Spektor will take some time to pay a visit to her Canadian fans, both the English and French variety. Montreal will receive the singer mid-way through her North American leg on April 4th, from which she'll venture to Toronto two days later.

Spektor continues to tour behind her third full-length album "Soviet Kitsch", which is her one of the only albums out by the singer with wide release. "Soviet Kitsch" received this distribution through Sire Records in the summer of 2004, and many good things began to happen for Spektor like grabbing an opening spot with her chums, The Strokes.

In other Regina Spektor news, fans not so lucky to live in Toronto or Montreal can catch the songstress as she performs on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on April 20th.

Regina Spektor's upcoming Canadian stops:

April 4 Montreal, QC - Main Hall
April 6 Toronto, ON - Rivoli
