Mat Kearney and MuteMath Co-Headline This Spring

Published: 2005-03-22
This year, the season of spring seems to be the choice time for musicians to pair up and tour North America as a team. That's just what singer/songwriter Mat Kearney and electro-rock outfit MuteMath will do, with plans to hit over 50 cities while they're at it. The monstrous undertaking will kick off at the end of the month in Dallas, Texas, and carry the bands on into summer.

The two acts are set to play a series of college campuses around the States, helping both Kearney and MuteMath in their steady climb of popularity. Unfortunately, there are no Canadian dates scheduled, but fans can check to MuteMath's official site ( for gigs close to the border.

Newly signed to Aware/Columbia, Mat Kearney has already gained tons of attention with his Inpop debut "Bullet", which was released last October. The singer's new album with his new label (also home to John Mayer and Train) can be expected sometime later this fall.

MuteMath, on the other hand, have yet to release their full-length debut, although it is being aimed for release this summer. The trio have already put out an EP called "Reset" (September 2004), and even gained a spot at SXSW Festival this past week, a huge deal for any band, regardless of genre.
