Jack Johnson Helps The Earth Stay Green

Published: 2005-03-21
Environment-minded folkie Jack Johnson is set to hit the road this summer with the green of the earth in mind. Beginning in August, he'll tour the continent for 7-weeks with a fleet of tour buses run on environmentally friendly Bio-diesel fuel. In addition to this, a portion of each ticket sold will ensure travelling audience members creating nasty carbon dioxide emissions are "carboneutral" upon their arrival.

As Johnson makes his way 'round the globe in support of his latest effort "In Between Dreams", the Hawaiian singer will make a few stops in Canada on his 34-date North American leg. He's going to make an appearance in Toronto, and also veer off the beaten path for a performance in Burnaby, British Columbia. Before he tours North America, Johnson will make his way to Australia, Germany, and France, among other places; check www.jackjohnsonmusic.com for a full list of dates.

Johnson's "In Between Dreams" is the singer/songwriter's third full-length studio effort, and the follow-up to 2003's widely loved "On and On". Featuring 14 new tracks, "In Between Dreams" was released to record stores around the globe on March 1st through Johnson's own Brushfire Records.

Jack Johnson's upcoming gigs:

August 8 Burnaby, BC - Deer Lake Park - Shadbolt Centre
September 17 Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
