Bebo Norman, Ortega, Groves Tri-Headline This Spring

Published: 2005-03-16
It's good enough when two bands decide to lay egos aside and co-headline a tour, but nothing tops when three artists band together to head-up a single bill. Singer/songwriters Fernando Ortega, Bebo Norman, and Sara Groves are doing just that, and they aren't even on the same record label, making the tri-headlining feat even more impressive.

Ranging from a veteran with 12 efforts under his belt (Ortega) to a relative newcomer who has just put out her second full-length (Groves), the spring tour will hit over 25 cities. The "Ortega-Norman-Groves Tour" is set to kick off on April 21st in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with the final dates of the jaunt still being confirmed.

Currently there are no Canadian stops scheduled, but a few opportunities for Canucks to jump the border to see the trio perform might crop up. Check back to the official tour site at: for constant updates as to Ortega, Norman, and Groves' planned whereabouts.

Ortega, who has won two Dove Awards and been nominated for ten score more, is currently out supporting his newest studio album. The self-titled effort features 12 tracks, 9 of which are co-written by the CCM veteran, and hit stores back in the summer of 2004. Now on his fourth label release, Bebo Norman continues to gain critical praise for songwriting; "Try" is his latest album, released late last year. "The Other Side of Something" is Groves' current effort; the album is her second full-length, and was put on shelves in March 2004.
