Louis XIV Let Out Their 'Secrets'
There seems to be a growing love for historically named bands, as San Diego's Louis XIV are gaining popularity at quite a good pace lately. The quartet will attempt to bring things to full speed when they release their debut full-length later this month. Dubbed "Best Little Secrets Are Kept", the 10-track effort will be put in record stores across the continent on March 22nd through Atlantic Records.
The legendary Atlantic Records is also responsible for putting out Louis XIV's very first release, a 5-song EP called "Illegal Tender" that was dropped in late January. Three of the gritty rock songs from "Illegal Tender" also made the jump to appear on "Best Little Secrets Are Kept". Bands can never go wrong when they name a track after themselves; download the song "Louis XIV" for free at: www.louisxiv.net.
The track-listing of "Best Little Secrets Are Kept" is:
"Finding Out True Love Is Blind"
"God Killed The Queen"
"A Letter To Dominique"
"A Pledge of Allegiance"
"All The Little Pieces"
"Ball of Twine"
To promote their debut effort, Louis XIV will make the long trek around North America, partly with Victoria punk-funk four-piece Hot Hot Heat. They join The Futureheads in opening for HHH on their fairly extensive 12-date run across Canada. Louis XIV will then continue to tour around the USA; check their web site for full listings.
