Dogs Die In Hot Cars Come To Canada

Published: 2005-03-11
As part of their world tour, Scotland quintet Dogs Die In Hot Cars will jangle their instruments across the continent of North America. Seeing how Canada takes up quite a bit of North America, it only makes sense that the indie rockers pay some attention to it. They'll be doing just that, playing two gigs in the Great White North on their 26-date jaunt.

Touring in support of their debut full-length "Please Describe Yourself", DDIHC will begin their North American leg in Texas, hitting SXSW in March. After they play their last gig on the continent in Los Angeles on April 22nd, the five-piece will head Down Under for four dates before they head back to the UK for a May tour.

They've already made a name for themselves in Britain, and Dogs Die In Hot Cars are currently chipping away at North American audiences. So far the band has released just one single on this side of the Atlantic, which happens to be called "I Love You 'Cause I Have To". Drawing comparisons to everyone from XTC to Oasis, there's a good chance that DDIHC have been called "The Next Big Thing" by the British press at some point or another.
