Feist Flits Around The Country

Published: 2005-03-08
Although she's now relocated to France, it's still alright to claim Feist as one of our own, right? Assuming so, the Canadian songstress is scheduled to play a few scattered shows, here and there around the country in the coming months. The Broken Social Scene alum will be sticking to the West side of the country this spring, but will find her way to the East come summertime.

First up, Feist will be accompanying Norwegian duo The Kings of Convenience on their North American tour, which includes a stop in Canada (that'd be Vancouver this Friday, March 11th). The pairing makes sense, for apparently the three have become fast friends. Feist even wrote a few songs on The Kings of Convenience's new album "Riot On An Empty Street".

After The Kings of Convenience tour lets out, Feist will be paying homage to Canadian music along with the rest of the country by checking out the Junos in April. Toronto and Montreal will get a visit from the chanteuse in summer as she runs around the globe in support of her newest solo effort "Let It Die". Released in May of last year, "Let It Die" is Feist's second full-length solo outing.

Feist's upcoming Canadian gigs:

March 11 Vancouver, BC - Richard's On Richards (w/ Kings of Convenience)
April 2 & 3 Winnipeg, MB - Juno's Awards Ceremony
June 30 Montreal, QC - Jazz Fest
July 1 Toronto, ON - Harbourfront Centre
