Buck 65 Hitches a Ride With Moby

Published: 2005-03-07
In his conquest to break the United States with his unique brand of white-guy rap, Nova Scotia's Buck 65 will spend his spring touring the country that lies south of the 49th parallel. Luckily, the artist, whose real name is Richard Terfry, still has some time for his homeland. He'll manage to sneak across the border a few times during his 28-performance tour.

Buck 65's American jaunt actually kicked off last month on February 26th in North Carolina, and things won't slow down for the rapper until he hits San Diego on May 8th. Not touring three months entirely in his own interest, Terfry will be opening for Moby from April 11th on (not the strangest pairing in the world, but it's up there). All of Buck 65's Canadian stops - Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver - will happen when he's warming up audiences for Moby.

While Moby is out supporting his upcoming "Hotel" LP, Buck 65 will be promoting his recently released "This Right Here Is Buck 65", a "best of" album of sorts. The 12-track record is meant to introduce Terfry to American audiences, compiling songs from past albums like "Talkin' Honky Blues" and adding a few new ones.

Buck 65's opening slots for Moby:

April 17 Montreal, QC - Metropolis
April 18 Toronto, ON - Phoenix Concert Theatre
May 3 Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom
