On the tail of the announcement of their Western Canadian gigs, Victoria's own Hot Hot Heat has revealed their plans for touring east of Manitoba. The punk-funk four-piece will play four shows in Ontario and one in Quebec, in addition to their earlier confirmed dates, which take them from Victoria to Winnipeg. Following the wrap of the North American leg, HHH will head over to jolly 'ol England.
Supporting Hot Hot Heat as they trek across their homeland is British buzz act The Futureheads and San Diego's Louis XIV. The Futureheads are out in support of their self-titled debut, which has been earning high praises all around the globe. Their live show comes with equally glowing recommendation, so it might be wise to catch them. Louis XIV has a brand new album called "Best Little Secrets Are Kept" coming out at the end of March; it comes just three months after their "Illegal Tender" EP.
Hot Hot Heat is touring in anticipation of their second full-length studio album "Elevator". Following the wonderful release month of March, the date of April 5th has been chosen as the day the album will see daylight. "Elevator" is the follow-up to Hot Hot Heat's 2002 debut "Make Up The Breakdown", and features 13 tracks, including first single "I Owe You An IOU".
