Kathleen Edwards Leaves to Promote 'Back To Me'

Published: 2005-03-01
Kathleen Edwards, the very definition of a Canadian singer/songwriter (she has a song called "Hockey Skates"!), is back with her newest studio album "Back To Me" this very day (March 1st). It's the Ottawa songstresses' second full-length album, and the follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2003 debut "Failer". All but one of the 11 tracks were written or co-written by Edwards, with her husband Colin Cripps co-writing and producing.

The track-listing of "Back To Me" is:

"In State"
"Back to Me"
"Pink Emerson Radio"
"Independent Thief"
"Old Time Sake"
"Summer Long"
"What Are You Waiting For?"
"Somewhere Else"
"Copied Keys"
"Good Things"

Edwards and her band have been practicing up in Quebec and Ontario for the past few weeks, and after an appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" tonight, Edwards will head out on tour in support of "Back To Me". Five American cities will receive Edwards this March, and in April she'll play an extensive tour of Europe, hitting the UK, Ireland, and Holland.

Just one Canadian stop is currently in Edwards' future: April 7th in Toronto. Jason Collett, a singer/songwriter who hails from Toronto, will join Edwards for the all ages affair at the Mod Club; tickets are just $17 at the door.
