Hot Hot Heat Take 'Elevator' On Tour

Published: 2005-02-23
They're back with a brand new album on April 5th, and Victoria quartet Hot Hot Heat is heading across the country - well, some of it - to make sure everyone knows it. After "Elevator" drops this spring, the punk-funkers will play a total of seven scheduled dates this April. "Elevator" will be HHH's second full-length album, and the follow-up to 2002's well-received "Make Up The Breakdown".

Most of Hot Hot Heat's confirmed April gigs are concentrated in the western half of the country, but the band will make the hop to the east for a performance in Ottawa on the 21st. Three of the concerts will be taking place in British Columbia, with the Whistler gig being the rarest of all rare things - a free show. The Futureheads and Louis XIV are to support, with more Canadian shows to be announced.

It's still a good few months before Hot Hot Heat's newest CD hits stores, but fans can get a taste of the record now. If you venture over to the four-piece's official site at, it's possible to hear a few clips from "Elevator", including the songs "Goodnight, Goodnight", and "Wasting Time".

April 10 Whistler, BC - Base of Whistler & Blackcomb Mtn. (Free)

April 13 Edmonton, AB - Red's
