Snow Patrol Have Another Go At North America

Published: 2005-02-22
Snow Patrol is doing an impressive job at cracking the North American market. The indie rock quartet made two runs across this continent in 2004 - one in spring, one in fall - hitting just two cities within Canada's borders. This spring, Snow Patrol will have another go at North America, and this time will expand their touring reach with four Canadian stops.

Things are set to kick off on April 23rd with three dates in Texas, with Snow Patrol making an appearance at this year's Coachella during the end of April. The quartet will then use up the entire month of May making a circuit around the rather large piece of land we live on, playing a total of 22 shows. By the time things finish off in New Orleans on May 31st, Snow Patrol will have played two new Canadian cities: Montreal and Calgary.

Snow Patrol is continuing to tour in support of their 2004 breakthrough album "Final Straw". Although it's the band's third full-length, it's the first that brought Snow Patrol widespread attention and launched them out of obscurity into full-on stardom in Britain. As of yet, Snow Patrol haven't reached the same level of stardom in North America, but with such dedicated touring it's really only a matter of time before the rest catch on.

The presale tickets for many of Snow Patrol's North American shows go on sale today (February 22nd). Go to (the UK & Eire Site) for more information.

Snow Patrol's confirmed Canadian gigs:

May 6 Vancouver, BC - Vogue Theatre
May 8 Calgary, AB - MacEwan Hall Ballroom
May 18 Toronto, ON - Kool Haus
May 19 Montreal, QC - Cabaret La Tulipe
