It's impossible to deny that Death From Above 1979 is one of the hardest working bands on the road today. The Canadian duo have been touring non-stop for the past few years, most recently playing a huge cross-country tour with Billy Talent. The tour is just as big this time around, except now Death From Above 1979 is going to get nice and comfortable as the main attraction.
Their mammoth world tour in support of "You're a Woman, I'm a Machine" is set to kick off with three dates in Australia at the end of February, which the boys will follow with creeping back into North America for a brutal 42-date tour of the continent. The North American swing kicks off on March 8th in Vancouver, and finishes up just three months later in Ottawa on May 9th, with a total of 20 Canadian shows in between - needless to say, Grainger and Keeler must have amazing stamina.
It doesn't end there folks. When May 19th rolls around, DFA79 are flying over the Atlantic to end their world tour with 9 performances in the UK, accompanied by fellow buzz worthy Canadian act controller.controller. The boys have been stirring up some mighty good press in Britain as of late, making what seems to be a weekly appearance on BBC Radio 1 DJ Steve Lamacq's show.
