Gordie Sampson Wins with 'Sunburn' At ECMA

Cape Breton native, Gordie Sampson is going to need to make room on his mantle; he swept the East Coast Music Awards (ECMA) collecting a total of five awards to which all he could exclaim was "Wow".

The ECMA's took place at Nova Scotia's Sydney Centre 200 to a packed and adoring crowd. Sampson's latest offering "Sunburn" took home "Album of the Year", "Single of the Year", and "Pop Recording of the Year". Sampson was also awarded with "Best Male Artist of the Year", and collectively took home the SOCAN songwriter award with Blair Daly and Troy Verges for Sampson's title track, "Sunburn". It truly has been a Sampson year in Eastern Canada.
