Hinterland Play CMW, Wrap Recording on New LP

Published: 2005-02-21
Vancouver dream-pop quartet Hinterland have already finished recording their next studio album, with work in the recording studio wrapping earlier this month. Currently without a name, the effort will be the band's second full-length, and follow-up to 2003's "Under The Waterline". The atmospheric debut has gained the four-piece attention around the world; you can read Soul Shine's take in the "Reviews" section of the site.

Not only does Hinterland have a new album up their sleeves, but they also have a new line-up as well. Long time guitarist/keyboardist Kyle Fogden decided to leave the West Coast behind for a fast-paced life in New York City, but did work on Hinterland's new album before heading east. Filling in for Fogden is a man by the name of Greg Williams, who will record his first song with Hinterland for an AC30 Records compilation.

Although they've been inactive for a while, Hinterland is ready to jump back on stage next month. They're making the long journey to Toronto to take part in Canadian Music Week this year. Not only is the band's CMW spot good for business, but it is also the very last gig that Kyle Fogden will play with Hinterland. That being the case, Greg Williams' very first gig with Hinterland will be on March 11th in Vancouver.
