Nickelback: Taking the ‘Long Road’

Published: 2004-01-08
British Columbia rockers Nickelback are getting their nickel's worth and more. To say ticket sales for the upcoming Canadian tour have been brisk is a gross understatement. Venues have been selling out shows in 15 minutes to an hour. A few single seat tickets are still available for the Toronto and Vancouver shows. This tour will bring Nickelback to many cities for the first time. The band's most recent CD "The Long Road" has been certified double-platinum.

Promoters are considering adding more shows to the Canadian tour. But once the band finishes the Canadian leg of their world tour Nickelback will cross the ocean to Japan, Australia, and Europe before returning in June to play in the US over the summer.

Nickelback believes in going all out and giving audiences a show to remember. The band spends US$120,000 a week on pyrotechnics.
