Mando DiaoŪs žHurricane BarÓ Gets Worldwide Release

Published: 2005-02-15
On March 8th the second full-length studio album from Swedish rockers Mando Diao will see a worldwide release. The 14-track "Hurricane Bar" was dropped in January in Europe, and even earlier in Sweden and Japan. The Japanese version has been available in Canada since September 2004, but at nearly $50 the domestic release seems like a better (much cheaper) option.

Inspired by the Brit-rock greats, it only makes sense that Mando Diao jetted off to England to record "Hurricane Bar" with producer Richard Rainey (known for his work with U2). Since the release of their debut "Bring 'Em In" in 2003, the garage-rock quartet has been riding high on a wave of global praise, and with "Hurricane Bar" reportedly carrying more of a pop flavour, Mando Diao just might push through the dreaded American market.

The track-listing of "Hurricane Bar" is:

"Cut The Rope"
"God Knows"
"Clean Town"
"Down In The Past"
"You Can't Steal My Love"
"Added Family"
"Annie's Angle"
"If I Leave You"
"Ringing Bells"
"The Dream Is Over"
"White Wall"
"All My Sense"
"Kingdom & Glory"
"Next To Be Lowered"

Currently the members of Mando Diao are out on an extensive tour of Europe, including dates in Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. For a list of tour dates go to the band's official site at: Once there it's also possible to watch a few videos from "Hurricane Bar", including the one for first UK single "You Can't Steal My Love" (released February 21st).
