This March Winnipeg septet Moses Mayes will dust off their instruments and practice their all-night driving skills as they play their "Heads Out West Tour 2005". Just as the tour name suggests, the band will play the four most westerly provinces on their 16-date tour, beginning in Calgary on March 3rd, and finishing up in Saskatoon a mere 17 days later.
Fans of Moses Mayes will notice a change in the band's line-up this time around. The funk band recently acquired a new member by the name of Mike Lewis. Finding a spot behind the kit, Lewis is taking the place of original drummer Antin Muzyka for the upcoming Western tour. This will be Lewis' first tour with Moses Mayes.
The seven-piece is still touring in support of their second full-length album, which was given the title "Needle To The Groove". Released in June 2004 and featuring 12 new songs, the album is the follow-up to their 2002 self-titled debut.
