Canada is the perfect place to play host to a March tour called "The Frostbite Tour" for obvious reasons. This year's line-up features Montreal ska quintet The Planet Smashers, Guttermouth, and Ghosts of Modern Man, with local acts to be added on here and there. Kicking off March 4th in Calgary, Alberta, "Frostbite 2005" will hit a total of 15 cities before calling it a day in Quebec City on March 20th.
Considerate of all those non-legal music fans out there, many of the shows on "The Frostbite 2005 Tour" are all ages. Although not all shows are yet listed, Ticketmaster.ca is dolling out the tickets for anywhere from $16-$20 a piece (with the addition of all those "service" charges, buyers can go ahead and add $872.89 on top).
The Planet Smashers are out promoting their most recent release - a career retrospective called 'Ten'. Hard to believe, but The Planet Smashers have been bopping away for a whole decade now. The DVD release features all of the band's videos, plus a bunch of live tracks. The last studio album that the band put out was 2003's "Mighty", which housed 18 tracks.
