Ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton Takes ěFree Meî on US Tour

Published: 2005-02-02
Aiming to shake her 'Baby Spice' image, Emma Bunton released her second solo album, "Free Me" on January 25, 2005. The album claims to be a "seductive offering that is equal parts '60s pop, Motown and bossa nova". Her first solo release (which was not officially released in North America) "A Girl Like Me" had not received as many accolades as the singer would have liked; the second album marks something better and more mature from Emma.

Emma co-wrote 11 of the 12 tracks on "Free Me" and the title track was a top five hit on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and went top 10 on the Hot Dance Radio Airplay list. Emma has maintained a busy schedule while on a two-week U.S. promo tour, appearing on "The Howard Stern Show," "The Early Show," "Live With Regis and Kelly" and "The Tony Danza Show," among others.
