The Doers Tour BC, Plan Cross-Country Jaunt

Published: 2005-02-01
Vancouver quartet The Doers are set to slog around British Columbia this month for a short 6-date tour; the punk rockers also have one show scheduled in March. Things are set to kick off this Thursday (February 3rd) when the band plays the Rock For Choice Benefit in Vancouver along with Ladyhawk and Foster Kare. All proceeds from this concert and all other RFC gigs will go to various charities including Pro-Can and Sheway.

After The Doers complete their tour of the West Coast this winter, plans are to tour the rest of the country in spring. No dates have been officially released, but the plan is to head out on a month long co-headlining tour with Run Chico Run, hitting cities from Victoria to Montreal. On both their BC tour and following cross-Canada tour, The Doers will be supporting their debut album 'Ready, SetÖDo'. The record was released last September in Canada (it's getting a US release on May 3rd) and already the four-piece is jumping into their next project. The day after they return home from their cross-country jaunt, The Doers are heading back into the studio to lay down the tracks for their next album 'Whatcha Doin?'.

The Doers' upcoming tour dates:

February 3 Vancouver, BC - Railway Club
February 4 Squamish, BC - How Sound Brewery
February 5 Victoria, BC - Logan's
February 6 Nanaimo, BC - Pleasant Valley Centre
February 7 Courtenay, BC - The Grid
February 13 Vancouver, BC - Fairview Pub
March 4 Roberts Creek, BC - The Gumboot
