That national institution known as Much Music Television is doing its part to bring music fans across the world a new perspective on the tsunami crisis in Southeast Asia. Everyone across the globe has responded quickly to the disaster, and Much Music is going to the scene of the devastation to bring its viewers closer to the issue and the people it has so greatly affected.
Much VJ/Videographer Jennifer Hollett has travelled to Phuket, Colombo and Jakarta gathering material to air as a special episode of "The NewMusic' on Monday, February 14th at 9:30pm ET. The episode will include interviews with Prime Minister Paul Martin, key aid workers, and community leaders. VJs Hanna Sung and Bill Welychka will also contribute, covering Canada's relief efforts and gaining input from artists involved in benefit concerts in Toronto and Vancouver.
In other Much Music news, after a virtual outpouring of VJs as of late, the station is looking for some new replacements. There will be an open casting call for the next face of Much this Saturday, January 29th at the Chumcity Building on Queen Street in Toronto.
