Steve Earle Visits the West

Published: 2005-01-14
Rock-country bigwig Steve Earle is donning his snow boots and setting off on tour at the end of the month to support his newest album 'The Revolution StartsÖNow'. Earle just recently announce his first bout of Canadian dates, which will see the roots singer play 6 shows in the four most westerly provinces.

Joined by his band The Dukes, Earle will kick off his tour on January 20th in North Carolina, and play 20+ shows in the States before heading up north. The first Canadian city to receive Earle will be Vancouver on February 20th, from which he will point his toes eastward, with his final stop being in Winnipeg, on February 28th. Most of Earle's time is going to be spent in Alberta, where he has three performances; one each in Calgary, Edmonton, and Banff.

Contemporary country singer Allison Moorer grabbed the spot as opener for Earle's tour. She's on to promote her latest record 'The Duel', which hits stores in April of 2004.

Steve Earle's Canadian stops:

February 20 Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom
February 22 Calgary, AB - Jack Singer Concert Hall
February 24 Edmonton, AB - Winspear Centre
February 25 Banff, AB - Eric Harvie Theatre
February 26 Saskatoon, SK - Prairieland Park
February 28 Winnipeg, MB - Burton Cummings Theatre

I saw Steve on stage in Brussels, Belgium in December last year and that was quite a show. Don't miss him, he has a lot to give.
Start revolting with him.
Have fun.
