Simple Plan gets Heavy

Published: 2003-12-29
French Canadian pop punk rockers Simple Plan are releasing a new album in the summer. While singer Pierre Bouvier really likes the band's debut album "No Pads, No Helmets … Just Balls" the band does not want to repeat the same type of material as on their previous CD. Bouvier said that the songs on the first release were written three or four years ago and the band has matured since then. The new songs and album will reflect that maturity. In keeping with the theme of being unique, Simple Plan will also offer a little different sound on the new CD – a heavier sound than was heard on their debut album. The song "Crash and Burn" is more in line with what the band plans for their second release.
