Joel Plaskett Returns To ŽIntimateŪ Venues

Published: 2005-01-03
After their stint as opening band for The Tragically Hip's stadium tour last month, The Joel Plaskett Emergency is going to have to re-adjust to playing smaller venues. The January tour they have lined-up may just do the trick for Plaskett and his band, seeing them play the likes of The Horseshoe and Capital Music Hall. Kicking off on January 19th in Fredericton, New Brunswick, the tour will see Plaskett play 8 shows before finishing up in Toronto, Ontario on January 29th.

Accompanying Plaskett and The Emergency on their short tour are PEI rockers Two Hours Traffic and Toronto-based band Cuff The Duke. To see which opener is playing which night, go to Plaskett's official site at:

The Joel Plaskett is once again hitting the road to support their newest disc 'Truthfully Truthfully'. Released in 2003, the 12-track album is Plaskett's third full-length as a solo artist, and the follow-up to 2001's 'Down at the Khyber'. A testament to Plaskett's place in the Canadian music scene, 'Truthfully Truthfully' has been nominated for three 2005 East Coast Music Awards, including 'FACTOR Album of the Year' and 'Rock Recording of the Year'.

The Joel Plaskett Emergency's upcoming gigs:

January 19 Fredericton, NB - UNB
