Kalan Porter Gets Ambitious

Published: 2004-12-17
After warming up on a series of mall dates, Canadian Idol Kalan Porter is ready to take the next step and head out on a full blown tour of Canada. He'll kick off the ambitious cross-country jaunt on February 3rd in Sarnia, Ontario, eventually finishing up almost two months later in Toronto, Ontario on March 31st. There are over 30 dates on the tour, with the singer hitting ever single province with the exceptions of PEI and Newfoundland.

Unfortunately for the Porter fans that reside in Ontario who haven't bought tickets for his shows yet are out of luck. Every last one of the Medicine Hat singer's February Ontario dates are sold out, but three extra dates in the province have been tacked onto the end of the tour.

Porter is out and about on the extensive tour in support of his debut album '219 Days'. Upon its release the album jumped into the top 10 selling albums in the country, thanks to Porter's loyal army of Kalanadians. The first single lifted from the album is called 'Awake in a Dream', which was chosen as the song for the winner of the Idol competition.
