The Frames Release LP in Canada, Plan Tour

Published: 2004-12-17
The newest studio album from Irish indie band The Frames has finally been given a North American release date. 'Burn The Maps', the band's fifth studio album, was released in September 2004 in Ireland and the UK, and will receive worldwide release on February 8th 2005 (which includes Canada, you see). The 12-track record is currently available on import, but costs a good chunk of change at the moment.

The track-listing of 'Burn The Maps':

'Dream Awake'
'A Caution to the Birds'
'Sideways Down'
'Ship Caught in the Bay'
'Suffer in Silence'

The most recent North American release from The Frames was 2004's 'Set List', which is a live album. While live albums are generally best avoided, the stage is where The Frames shine brightest. Led by Glen Hansard, The Frames are known for their intimate live sets, which allow the audience members to feel as if they are part of the show.

Their spectacular live shows have made them a favourite back home, but The Frames have yet to crack the American market. They will try once more to win over legions of new fans as they tour North America in support of 'Burn The Maps' next year. Although no dates have been confirmed as of yet, the plan of attack has The Frames pencilled in for three Canadian stops.

Projected times and places of The Frames upcoming tour:

March 3 Montreal, QC
March 4 Toronto, ON
March 10 Vancouver, BC
