Queen Will Tour Again

Seminal '70's and '80's rockers Queen aren't going to let a little thing such as the death of front man Freddy Mercury stop them from launching another tour. The band famous for hits such as We Are The Champions, We Will Rock You and the operatic favourite, repopularized by Wayne and Garth in the film Wayne's World, Bohemian Rhapsody. Before you can say Beealzabub Queen will be hitting the road in the Spring of 2005 with new frontman Paul Rodgers of Bad Company fame.

The shows will reportedly contain a mix of both Queen and Paul Rodgers material. The tour was originally supposed to be kept a secret for now, but details were leaked recently and corrobarated by Queen guitarist Brian May in a statement on his web site. According to May the tour was born of a gig he played with Paul Rodgrs for Fender Guitar's 50th anniversary. They then teamed up again for the UK Hall of Fame Awards, further revealing a chemistry between the two performers. May had this to say of the performance:

"The show went so incredibly well from our point of view, and we got so many rave reactions from out there, we decided almost then and there that we would look at a tour together. This is what we have been doing over the last two or three weeks, looking at venues, discussing how we might approach our collective material, etc. etc."

Look for Queen to be hitting the road by April of next year, according to May. Dates, times and venues have yet to be announced.
