The Hidden Cameras Head West

Published: 2004-12-13
Toronto collective The Hidden Cameras are set to begin their 2005 with a tour out westward. Currently the band is wrapping up a tour of Europe, with their final gig being played this Friday (December 17th) in Barcelona, Spain. After a break for the holidays, The Cameras will set off on an 8-date tour of North America.

The short tour is set to kick off on January 29th in Calgary, Alberta, finishing up where it's warm in Los Angeles, California on February 11th. The Hidden Cameras will be playing the first half of the 8 shows in Canada, and the last four in the States. Out of the four Canadian dates, two will be in Alberta and the other two will be in British Columbia.

Led by Joel Gibb, The Hidden Cameras will continue to tour in support of their latest full-length 'Mississauga Goddamn'. The newest single off of the album is called 'I Believe In The Good Life', the video for which features two of Toronto's most notorious drag queens: Tawny Le Sabre and Keith Cole. You can watch the video for 'I Believe In The Good Life' at the band's official web site,

With all 11 songs penned by Gibb, 'Mississauga Goddamn' is The Hidden Cameras' third record. Prior to the October 2004 album was the 'Smell of Our Own', released in early 2003, and the 9-track 'Ecce Home', which was put on shelves in 2001.

The Hidden Cameras' upcoming shows:

January 29 Calgary, AB - The Big Secret Theatre
January 30 Edmonton, AB - The Power Plant
February 2 Victoria, BC - Central Bar & Grill
February 3 Vancouver, BC - Richard's On Richards
