Update on Fifth Idlewild Album

Published: 2004-12-08
Scottish rock quintet Idlewild has recently released more details on their upcoming fifth studio album. The follow-up to 2002's critically acclaimed 'In Remote Part' has been given the name 'Warning/Promises', and has a confirmed release date of March 7th, 2005 in the United Kingdom. The record can be expected to hit North American shores very shortly thereafter.

A single called 'Love Steals Us From Loneliness' will precede the album, set to hit the radio waves on February 21st.

'Warning/Promises' was recorded in California with producer Tony Hoffer (Beck, The Thrills), and final mixing and ordering was done in New York City. Frontman Roddy Woomble enjoyed his experience in the Big Apple so much, that he's actually relocated to Manhattan from his London home.

To support their newest full-length, Idlewild plan to tour the globe hitting five continents along the way; the band expects to perform in the UK, the rest of Europe, North America, Japan, and Australia. The rockers will be touring around this continent (which hopefully will include a few shows in Canada) in March and/or April of 2005.
