People For The American Way Memorabilia Auction

Published: 2004-12-07
Ever dreamed of owning a guitar signed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, or handwritten lyrics from the Dead Kennedys? People For the American Way, an organization which fights for social justice and civil rights that began in the early 1980's with founder Norman Lear, have launched an auction via eBay that could allow you to obtain pieces of music history, as well as some other unique prizes. For example, a flight with former Nirvana bassist Krist Novolesic already sold for $7, 300 US. Other items up for bid include signed CD's, gold and platinum albums, and signed posters and tour books. The auction will be closed within five days, and as of this morning bids ranged from $19.99 for an autographed Lit poster to $1, 525 for a guitar that was smashed and signed by the one and only Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.
