The 2004 East Coast Music Awards will be held at the Mile One Stadium in St. Johns on Sunday February 15. CBC Television and CBC Radio – Two will broadcast the event live. Newfoundland and Labrador comedians Mark Critch and Shaun Majumber will be the hosts for this year's awards show. Chair of the East Coast Music Association Shelly Nordstrom said that this year's nominees offer a little bit of everything. This year 130 nominations in 26 categories were announced. The Association received nearly 400 submissions for awards from every genre of East Coast music. Sloan, Matt Mays, Damhnait Doyle, and Jimmy Rankin top the list with six nominations each.
